The UK online marketing industry got exciting news recently when it was revealed that internet advertising expenditure have exceeded television ads.

Those in the televison ad industry were quick to point out that the Internet is a medium comprised of many types of marketing such as email, pay per click and search engine optimisation.

It may be a bit early for internet marketeers to celebrate yet as this current trend is thought to be created by the recent global recession. It will be interesting to see what these figures are again once the economy has stablised and advertising expenses begin to return to normal.
